It’s Spring and for me, that means a fresh feeling of inspiration and hope. I’ve been looking to make some changes and this time of year is perfect for that. Here are a list of things I’ve been working on and planning to keep up the next few months.
1. Re-vamp my home.
I’ve been doing some stereotypical spring cleaning, but also some organizing and redecorating. I think it’s important to change up your living space when you spend so much time in it. I’ve been needing better storage for my shoes so I got this shoe rack for $25 at Target. I’m in love!
I’m also adding lots of green and fresh flowers to the house. I’ve always wanted more plants so I’m slowly adding to my collection.
2. Get back into gardening.
This has been so fun! It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s really satisfying. Luckily, we already have a garden bed, but it had tons of overgrown weeds and grass. I took two days to clean it out and I’ve already planted the seeds. I can’t wait to see what happens!
3. Add some fun items to my closet.
I’ve been focusing so much on having basics recently that I’ve started to realize that my clothes don’t excite me anymore. I’m looking for some fun tops and dresses and maybe some new accessories. I’d love a new hat. I’ve also been loving the baby doll / peplum top trend. Looking to add one of these to my wardrobe soon.
4. Get up early.
Last week, I started getting up earlier to have more time in the morning before work. I’ve been meaning to try this for a while and suddenly I was just inspired to just do it! It’s been awesome. I have time to get some things done on my computer and to eat a delicious breakfast before starting my day. I’m going to do my best to keep this up as the end of the school year gets busy.
5. Get active every day.
Finally, I want to do something active everyday. I love being outside in this beautiful weather so I’m going to make it a priority. It makes me happy and it’s good for me. This may mean a full on workout, a quick walk, or spending time in the garden. I’ve been doing this since my Spring Break started and it’s been amazing so far.
What are your goals for this time of year? I’d love to hear!
