Well, here we are. At the end of 2017 just like that.
I’m not sure if it’s because the year is ending or if it’s the holidays, but I’m feeling sentimental today.
See, the older I get, the more I realize that I’m not a huge fan of giving things for Christmas. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love finding someone the perfect gift that they didn’t expect and seeing their excitement when they open it up. But my favorite thing to give is experiences: A little weekend getaway, a ticket to a concert, a romantic dinner out.
We’re all so busy running around and trying to check things off our to do list that sometimes, things like a dinner with an old friend get pushed aside. It’s so important that we remember to slow down and appreciate the everyday experiences, big or small.
So instead of creating a gift guide or making a list of cheap stocking stuffers, I’m going to share some of my favorite experiences from 2017 for this holiday season. Looking back, I can’t believe all the moments I was able to be a part of this year. And I can’t wait to see what next year has in store.

I hope you take some time this holiday weekend and remind the ones you love how important they are to you. By giving an experience or simply, by just saying it.
Happy Holidays everyone,
