5 Reasons I Switched To Matcha

October 8, 2018

It all started last year. Following all these health gurus and forever finding fun, healthy recipes, I was seeing matcha everywhere. At first I didn’t really get it…Is it tea? Coffee? What is this magical powder people are obsessed with? I finally decided to try this new drink when visiting a local coffee shop, Odd’s Cafe. They … More 5 Reasons I Switched To Matcha

One of my new favorite things is drying fresh bouquets when they start to turn. So naturally, when Elliot filled our living room with flowers to propose, it ended up like this. 💐 We did some rearranging this weekend and decided to open up these beautiful windows by moving some furniture around. I can’t wait to keep filling this space with plants as we slip into colder months. 🌿 I think this is my favorite way to combat those winter blues yet! 🌼 How are you preparing for the cold months ahead?
I meditated for the first time in a while the other night and it was all about getting unstuck. There was a quote from Oprah that said, “When you don’t know what to do, do nothing. Be still.” I forget how powerful things like meditation, yoga, a quiet walk, or journaling really are. 🧘🏼‍♀️ It’s so easy for me to move away from them when things get busy. But deep down I know they will help calm my mind and give me clear direction. Keeping this in mind as we continue through another week. 🍂
From urban hiking to exploring in the woods. October can be a crazy time, but man do I love spending it in these beautiful mountains ☺️🍂
This weekend was one for the books 🥰💍💐
I’ll never be able to get a good picture of it, but this little window over our kitchen sink is one of my favorite things in our house. We didn’t have one at our old house (in fact, we didn’t have much natural light in the kitchen at all) and it makes all the difference. Not to mention, our view is just a bunch of trees and greenery that I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of looking at. 🌿 With all the busyness rushing around me sometimes, it feels good to notice the small things and feel more connected to nature. Especially with this autumn weather recently. 💛 Can you tell I just got done with my first yoga session in a while or what? 😂 Feeling much more centered today than I have in a while 🧘🏼‍♀️
And just like that, it finally feels like Fall. Mylo and I are pretty excited about it ☺️🍂
