Happy Winter Solstice ❄️
Christmas Eve is always the busiest day in my family. We spend the whole day making pierogi from scratch, my mom and my aunts usually arguing over the right way to do it. By evening, we’ve all gotten showered and dressed in our fanciest clothes, ready to start the celebration. It begins with a shot of vodka, followed by a gorgeous four course meal: borscht, pierogi, some sort of fish and veggie, and finally, a made from scratch, decadent walnut torte. No doubt there is lots of wine throughout dinner as well.
